Tunisia-National Army forces foil smuggling of goods worth 365,000 dinars

National army units of the south-eastern borders and the desert region managed, Sunday, November 22, 2020, in preventing nine operations of smuggling of goods from Libya.

The seized goods consisted of 130 mobile phones worth 80,000 dinars, cigarettes surpassing 61,000 packs of 183,000 dinars, in addition to 2,270 tons of tea valued at 57,000 dinars and 552 kg of molasses worth about 45,000 dinars.

The units additionally succeeded in capturing 13 Tunisians who were moving through the buffer zones and the desert zone without consent or identity documents. The overall cost of the seizure surpassed 365 thousand dinars. The goods as well as the detainees were handed over to the customs services to complete the legal procedures regarding them.
