The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries announced that livestock farmers and feed producers will benefit from loans on favorable terms and through simplified procedures to finance the balancing of feed stocks.
This measure aims to ensure the success of the 2024/2025 feed production season and to optimize and preserve production quantities to meet livestock needs in the coming periods.
The loans will be provided through the Tunisian Solidarity Bank in the form of seasonal loans to livestock farmers and feed producers, as well as to civil enterprises, agricultural service cooperatives, and agricultural development groups active in the livestock sector.
These loans will be repaid over 12 months and without collateral, according to a joint circular defining the terms of implementation of this program. They will also be granted through the National Agricultural Bank in the form of seasonal loans, whether for farmers who received seasonal loans at the beginning of the agricultural season and who wish to obtain additional financing, or for farmers who did not receive seasonal loans at the beginning of the season, as well as for livestock farmers, agricultural service cooperatives, civil societies, agricultural development groups active in the livestock sector, and milk collection centers, with the repayment period extended to nine months.
