“Rapid coronavirus diagnostic tests conducted on over 19,000 students before the resumption of classes showed that solely 30 developed antibodies,” Director of the National Observatory for New and Emerging Diseases Nissaf Ben Alaya said in a statement to the TAP agency.
Tests conducted on students who developed antibodies (1.5 for 100,000 inhabitants) come back negative, she said.
These students would have been exposed to patients and would have developed antibodies without contracting the virus, she said.
