The national coordinator of the anti-COVID19 program and spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Nissaf Ben Alaya declared, this Monday, September 14, 2020, that the field hospital installed at the sports city of El Menzah will welcome from tomorrow Tuesday the first patients with COVID-19.
In a statement to TAP, Ben Alaya stressed that “this hospital with a capacity of 86 beds equipped with ventilators will support the efforts of public hospitals and improve patient care”.
Speaking to the same source, the official added that a medical and paramedical team will be mobilized to meet the additional needs of care for patients with COVID-19, the number of which has continued to increase since the reopening of borders on June 27.
With this in mind, Ben Alaya recalled that this hospital has been installed since last May in anticipation of the increase in demand and the saturation of hospitals.
