The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Nissaf Ben Alaya estimated that the epidemiological situation in Tunisia is dangerous and worrying.
Speaking to a private radio she said, “There is large community contamination due to various factors such as failure to comply with preventive measures at the individual and collective level, as well as failure to comply with health protocols.”
She likewise called to adhere with preventive measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 until the arrival of the vaccine, indicating that earned collective immunity cannot stop the virus.
