The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health Nissaf Ben Alaya talked about the identification of new strains of the coronavirus in Tunisia.
Dr Ben Alaya pointed out that only the UK coronavirus variant was detected.
Concentrating on its rapid propagation, Ben Alaya evoked that the British strain triggered the 3rd wave of COVID-19 in the country.
She added that the Indian, Brazilian and South African strains were not detected, according to the latest sequencing operations of genomes.
