The vice-president of UTAP, Noureddine Ben Ayed confirmed that the president of the republic Kais Saied requested him during his last meeting with him at Carthage Palace, to purge the Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries and to remove Abdelmajid Ezzar from the presidency of UTAP.
He believed that suspicions of corruption weigh on the president of UTAP Abdelamjid Ezzar specifying that these suspicions were confirmed by the President of the Republic, Kais Saied. Noureddine Ben Ayed stated he never wanted to sideline Abdelmajid Ezzar rejecting any link with Ridha Lenin. He did not rule out the possibility of going to court to confirm the legitimacy of yesterday’s plenary session, he added.
