It has been decided to open the door for private exporters to export Tunisian bulk olive oil as part of the annual quota allocated to Tunisia by the European Union, starting from January 1, 2025.
Private exporters who are registered on the list of olive oil exporters and desire to export bulk olive oil under the 2025 quota must receive a permit during the period from January 1 to December 31 of the same year. This permit will be issued by the Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, according to a joint statement from the Ministries of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries; Trade and Export Development; and Industry, Mines, and Energy.
The joint statement stressed the need to submit requests to the General Directorate of Agricultural Studies and Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries.
