Head of Qalb Tounes parliamentary bloc Oussama Khlifi reemphasised his party’s support for prime minister Hichem Mechichi, indicating that the latter has demonstrated that he is not a deserter soldier.
Speaking on the airwaves of private radio, he said that Mechichi’s request to Kais Saied to present him with the list of corrupt ministers was legitimate. Indeed, the president is expected to provide the necessary documents to verify the accusations that have been directed to the new members of the government, he added.
“Respect for institutions entails referring only to facts and evidence. But in fact, this case goes past suspicion of corruption … it is more a question of establishing the limits of the prerogatives of each person in charge, “he said.
