Tunisia- Parties and organizations call for “immediately dismissing Elyes Fakhfakh from his duties”

Political parties, organizations and national figures have asked for “the immediate dismissal of  Elyes Fakhfakh, from his duties, particularly after the publication of the reports of the supervisory body and the general directorate of taxes”.

In a joint press release made public on Saturday, July 18, the signatories estimate that “the salvation of Tunisia could only intercede within the framework of an independent national and popular project, separating from the system with its different poles and reactionary and hostile parties. the homeland and to the people ”.

They point to an unparalleled crisis. “The crisis that Tunisia is going through in recent days has reached a degree never attained before, where the conflict has worsened between the poles of the system in power and its parties within the institutions of the State and elsewhere, which has ended in the resignation of the government, and the almost total paralysis of the parliament which has become the symbol of failure and absurdity ”.

“All the indications recognise that the coming period will bring evolutions, in connection with the formation of the new government and the possibility of dissolving the parliament, which is likely to flood the country in swamps detrimental to Tunisia and its people, ”they warn.

“The situation in the country is a natural result of the policies followed by the current ruling apparatus, led by reactionary parties, with all their varieties, which paved the way for attempts to retrain the representatives of the old regime “Points out the press release.

The signatory parties consider that “the conflict between the different reactionary parties has nothing to do with popular demands in terms of employment, freedom and national dignity. But it is a conflict to share the spoils of power and to establish control over the decision-making centres, with a view to serving external parties and axes which are plotting against Tunisia, within the framework of a great plan aimed at the region for the benefit of countries and international financial institutions, and of colonialist and hostile conflicts ”.

They announce that “they will not stand idly by in the face of flippancy towards the interest of the country, and that they will take the decisions capable of saving Tunisia from the dangers that lie in wait for it”.
