Prime minister Hichem Mechichi called for the renovation of the composition of the members of the sectorial, consultative, technical and regional committees of companies and public establishments whose commission has surpassed three years, with the exclusion of those who have been selected, within a maximum period. established on January 31, 2021.
According to the TAP agency, PM Mechichi pointed out in a government circular, published on December 30, 2020, that the working mode of diverse committees does not fit the standards and conditions of good governance both in terms of composition, choice members and the period of membership than that of their method of action.
The PM recommended to ministers, secretaries of state, governors and presidents of companies and public establishments to evaluate the composition of all the committees under their prerogatives and to offer suggestions associating to the reduction or change of their composition.
Méchichi stressed the necessity for the periodic renewal of the aforementioned committees and the number of years of membership not to surpass three years while calling for the right choice of the skills called to sit in them.
The circular stipulates, in particular, the simplification of rules and the examination of files presented to the panels within specific deadlines, in accordance with an internal guide to measures, drawn up by the structures concerned.
