The President of the Republic Kais Saïed called for lowering the prices of running water during his meeting with the CEO of Sonede, Mosbah Helali, the director-general of the office of planning and hydraulic balances at the Ministry of Agriculture, Hammadi Habib and Samir Hedaoui , from the general administration of water resources to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The head of state urged the parties concerned to do their utmost to fix the problems of water supply.
He accentuated, on this occasion, that there is no reason to violate the people’s right to drinking water, and called for doing everything possible to surmount all the problems confronted by citizens to obtain water.
Meanwhile, Kais Saied emphasised on developing a strategy to avoid a possible water shortage.
