Tunisia: President Kaïs Saïed calls for presidential elections on October 6, 2024

Today, Tuesday July 2, 2024, the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, officially issued a decree inviting voters to go to the polls for the presidential elections scheduled for Sunday October 6, 2024. This announcement marks the beginning of an electoral process crucial for the political future of Tunisia.

President Saïed’s call for these elections aims to renew the presidential mandate and affirm Tunisia’s commitment to free and transparent elections.

Tunisian voters will thus be invited to select their next president, in what vows to be a decisive electoral competition for the country. The various candidates will soon start their campaigns, seeking to persuade voters of their vision for Tunisia.
