The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, inaugurated, on Thursday, July 1, 2021, the new intensive care unit at the military hospital in Tunis and set the foundation stone for the future outpatient department.
The Head of State examined the various components of the ICU department and attended a presentation on its most prominent medical properties and modern technologies used in its preparation and operation.
He hailed at the same time, the efforts of health professionals in the battle against the Coronavirus and the achievements of military medicine.
Referring to cases of violence that have taken place in-state institutions, Mr Saïed emphasised his rejection of violence and condemned the disturbances which took place Wednesday in Parliament.
