The President of the republic Kais Saied met the Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel Abdurrahman Al-Asoumi,during meeting the head of the state affirmed that Tunisia is one of the pivotal states in the Arab Parliament.
Mr Al-Asoumi welcomed Tunisia’s support to the Arab Parliament, in special on current issues in the Arab world as well as the Parliament’s future action. He pointed out that his meeting with President Saied concentrated on the situation in the Arab world, particularly water safety and the situation in Libya.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament underscored Tunisia’s function in reconciling the Libyan stakeholders as well as its support to Egypt and Sudan in their conflict with Ethiopia concerning the construction of the Renaissance Dam on the waters of the Nile River.
| The Palestinian cause was also brought under the spotlight during the meeting, Al-Asoumi added.
