President Kais Saied welcomed the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry a who was carrying a message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to the Head of State at Carthage presidential palace.
President Saied praised Egypt’s solidarity with Tunisia in its battle against the COVID-19, reflecting the shared values of friendship, solidarity and mutual assistance.
He restated the commitment to bolster the relationships of coordination and cooperation between the two nations, highlighting the correlation between Egypt’s and Tunisia’s security and stability.
For his part, Mr Shoukry conveyed «the feelings of consideration and respect of President Al-Sisi and his complete support for the historic steps adopted by the Tunisian President to fulfil the will of the people, secure stability in Tunisia and preserve its interests.»
«Egypt is confident in the wisdom of President Saied and his capacity to lead this constitutional process steadily,» he responded, wishing Tunisia and its people a better future.
