President of the republic Kais Saied received Stephen Townsend, commander of U.S. Africa Command at Carthage presidential palace.
The meeting addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Tunisia and the United States of America in various fields, particularly in the military field, as well as in the field of combating terrorism.
The minister of defence Ibrahim Bartagi was present at the meeting.
