Interim President Mohamed Ennaceur received the president of the Supreme Judicial Council Youssef Bouzakher at Carthage presidential palace.
During the meeting, President Ennaceur expressed his deep concern regarding recent events at Tunis Court of First Instance, he emphasised the need to resort to logic and dialogue in order to overcome this dilemma. Ennaceur further valued the effort of the Supreme Judicial Council in securing the stable functioning of the justice system.
Ennaceur likewise stressed the crucial function of the judiciary in the success of the elections and entrenching democratic practice by guaranteeing the integrity, transparency and credibility of the electoral process, as well as ensuring equal opportunities for candidates.
