President Kais Saied chaired on Tuesday at the barracks of the Directorate-General of the Presidential Guard in Gammarth, the commemoration ceremony of the 5th anniversary since the martyrdom of presidential guard officers in the 2015 terrorist attack.
However, as it may sound normal visit, the video published by the presidency documenting the head of the state visit unveiled a disaster that lay only steps from this sacred place.
In fact, a camera installed in the “drone” device exposed hidden piles of junk behind the wall of a building in Gammarth barracks, steps away from the President of the Republic, Kais Saied.
Wreaths, furnished carpets, and flying flags appear in the square of security martyrs, a place that supposed to be sacred and holy fo the martyrs but chaos laid in behind as if they desired to mislead the head of the state.
In the face of such scenery, one can ask when will our officials start correct mistakes and stop “covering the eye of the sun with a sieve?” When will we learn from our mistakes and our victims: the victims of sewers, roads and valleys, victims of poverty, marginalization and corruption and others.
