The leader of the “Tunisia Forward Movement” party, Abid Briki, revealed today, Friday, August 30, 2024, that his party supports candidate Kais Saied in the presidential election on October 6.
Briki stated that his party’s support for candidate Kais Saied is due to multiple elements, including preserving public establishments without compromising them, regardless of the degree of reform accomplished, and not cancelling its support or resorting to loans from the International Monetary Fund, in addition to Tunisia’s firm position on the Palestinian issue.
On the other hand, Briki emphasised that the current stage “requires recognizing the shortcomings and proposing a reform program, according to a vision that actually began on July 25, to ensure the political and social stability of the country.”
