President Kais Saied summoned Mounir Ben Rjiba, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, to Carthage Palace on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
Kais Saied instructed Ben Rajiba to transmit a note of protest to foreign ambassadors accredited to Tunisia, voicing to them the country’s firm opposition to any form of interference in its internal affairs.
This approach is part of a solemn reminder of the principles set out in the preamble to the Tunisian Constitution, affirming that the Tunisian people refuse external interventions in their sovereign affairs.
This initiative echoes Tunisia’s determination to maintain its political independence and strengthen its national sovereignty in the face of foreign influences.
