Prime minister and presidential nominee, Youssef Chahed, declared on Tuesday, on his facebook page that he has relinquished his French citizenship.
He stressed that in accordance with Article 74 of the Constitution, presidential candidates must forsake any additional nationality if elected.
Chahed requested all nominees to do the same.
