The public prosecutor’s office at the Tunis Court of First Instance issued arrest warrants against five “content creators” and an “Instagrammer” on Monday, October 28, 2024, and directed them to the Judicial Council for trial on charges linked to “publishing obscenities and harassing others via social networks ” and other charges of a moral nature, according to what a judicial source confirmed.
The public prosecutor’s office at the Tunis Court of First Instance had authorized officers of the central division of the National Guard in El Aouina to refer five “content creators”, including names known on social networks, to an indictment case. After examining the inquiry reports, the public prosecutor’s office decided on Monday to issue arrest warrants against them pending trial for what they are accused of.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Justice issued a statement announcing the initiation of legal proceedings against several content creators for crimes of a moral nature that violate society’s moral values.
