“Qalb Tounes” party called for the formation of a government of national unity, believing that the person most capable to form a government need be the subject of an agreement between all parties.
In light of the challenging and unprecedented circumstances confronting the country at the economic, social and health levels, the next prime minister-designate must enjoy broad political support, the party said in an issued statement.
In this context, Qalb Tounes declared it hoped that the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, would take into account the results of the consultations carried out in the past and speed up the formation of a government of national unity that is Homogeneous, united and effective, responds to the expectations of people, enjoys wide confidence and a comfortable majority.
The party also called on all political actors to ease tensions, to promote the national interest and to initiate a dialogue that does not exclude any political party, with the aim of getting the country out of the current crisis.
