On the sidelines of a press conference held at the parliament, head Qalb Tounes parliamentary bloc Oussama Khlifi announced that his party will take internationally Nabil Karoui affair.
He stated that Nabil Karoui is a political prisoner, taken hostage by the President of the Republic, implying that “Qalb Tounes” will lead a political fight and not a legal one, to free the president of the party.
Osama Khlifi added that there is clear pressure about his case since Nabil Karoui is in preventive detention surpassing the legal deadlines and his release has been denied.
The MP further accused the President of the Republic and his political allies of being behind the harassment of the Karoui brothers and Qalb Tounes MPs who are part of the parliamentary coalition supporting the government.
