Ennahdha leader Rached Ghannouchi confirmed in a media statement that the last decade was not “black”. He revealed that the adversaries of democracy demonized Ennahdha Movement considering that his party was not solely accountable for the deterioration of the situation in the country.
“It was former President of the Republic, Beji Caid Essebssi who ruled for half of the last decade thanks to the power that Nidaa Tounes had over Parliament and the government,” he added. He said that over the past decade, Tunisians have enjoyed unprecedented freedom.
