Speaking at a press conference in Sfax, Ennahdha party leader and House speaker Rached Ghannouchi affirmed that prime minister-designate Hichem Mechichi to form a technocratic government places political parties in difficulties.
Ghannouchi said that parliament will vote in favour of the government to avoid the vacuum. He added, however, that the approval of a government that does not represent the parliament or the parties is also a problem.
President Ennahdha stressed that the Shura council will determine the party’s position vis-à-vis the government.
