Former MP Rached Khiari is appearing this morning before the Criminal Court of First Instance at the Permanent Military Tribunal of Tunis, on the background of his remarks regarding the financing of the electoral campaign of the President of the Republic, Kais Saïed, of 2019.
Khiari is accused of undermining the morale of the national army, conspiracy against the internal security of the state and contacts with foreign parties to harm the interests of the state etc.
