Ennahdha member Rafik Abdessalem, confirmed on Tuesday, December 29, that the government coalition was still as strong as ever, rejecting talks about Ennahdha fear of a potential failure of Qalb Tounes parliamentary bloc.
Emphasizing the respect of the Ennahdha party for the independence of the judiciary, Abdessalem stated, that some lawmakers desired to utilise the arrest of Nabil Karoui for political ends and use it to implode Mechichi administration, referring to Democratic Bloc MPs
“The Democratic Bloc takes itself for the political belt of the President of the Republic, while the latter is the president of all Tunisians,” answeredAbdessalem, adding that Ennahdha is not the target of the remarks of the president when he talks of “missiles”.
He likewise observed that Kais Saied’s statements were not very clear and that the latter should be more precise when making such accusations.
