The Criminal Chamber specializing in terrorism cases at the Tunis Court of First Instance has denied requests for the release of several defendants detained in the case related to networks involved in sending jihadists to conflict and terrorism zones.
The chamber examined the case on, Friday, January 24, 2025, in which former Interior Minister Ali Laârayedh, Abdelkrim Al-Abidi, the former head of the aviation security protection team, Seifeddine Al-Raies, spokesperson for Ansar Chariaa, and others appeared before the court in custody.
