Six elected members of Ksibet Thrayet municipality council in Sousse voluntarily submitted their effective resignation on Monday, September 9, 2019. The continuous wave of official resignation was preceded by six resignations last week, promptly bringing the considerable number of submissions to 11.
The resigned deputies reasonably attributed their imminent departure to the remarkable lack of incoherence between the council’s members.
Under Provision N 205 of The Local Authorities Code, the City Council is deemed dissolved, Sousse mayor was properly informed of the resignations for further consideration.
