The Judicial Council today decided, Friday, July 16, 2021, to delay the examination of the disciplinary file of judge and first president of the Court of Cassation, Taieb Rached, till August 3. A delay that comes in response to the defence’s request.
On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, the judiciary council decided to suspend former public prosecutor Bashir Akermi while, pending the examination of his case. The council additionally decided to immediately refer the case to the public prosecutor to take the suitable procedures against him in accordance with the provisions of article 63, paragraph 2 of the law of the Superior Council of Magistracy.
