Since the start of the year to August 10, 2023, Tunisia has registered 3,281 road traffic accidents which resulted in 709 killed and 4,570 injured.
The evolution of road accidents, comparing the past period of the current year compared to the same period of 2023, shows a decline of 6.18% in the number of accidents and 10.59% in the number of injured,
But beware! Despite the fall in the number of accidents and injuries, the number of deaths is chilling. It represents a real carnage that mourns thousands of Tunisian and sometimes foreign families who visit our country. It registered an increase of 21.20% following the 3,281 accidents that took place in the different regions of the country.
