Following their meeting at the Carthage Palace today, the Minister of Justice, Leila Jaffel noted that the President of the Republic, Kais Saied emphasised the necessity to maintain the Superior Council of the Judiciary as a constitutional institution guaranteeing the independence of justice.
The Minister likewise said that Saied added that this track would be participatory and democratic securing justice for all and underscored the need to revise the law of the Superior Council of the Judiciary so that it guarantees the rights of all judges and enable them to perform their duties to the best of their ability.
Affirming that this period will be organized by a provisional judicial body or council to examine urgent cases until the establishment of the Superior Council of the Judiciary and its new law.
