Kais Saïed, President of the Republic, welcomed, this Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Carthage palace, Brahim Bouderbala, president of the Tunisian lawyers. The Head of State confirmed that there is no question of touching attorneys and judges of integrity. Though at the same time no one is above the law and that we need to prosecute those who have perpetrated crimes against the Tunisian people.
Kais Saïed recollected that the question of the law of the Superior Council of the Judiciary mandates doctoral theses. “The law was not made on the basis of rational rules. These are texts which permit the intervention of certain people in the affairs of Justice. Certain people who have assumed positions in the management of Justice affairs in Tunisia are just representatives of political figures and criminal gangs. The problem lies with those who will only hurt the interests of the people … There are people who believe that they are above the law…while they are in the process of blowing up the State. Justice is the rule and we avoid injustice to avoid chaos”, clarified the President of the Republic.
