President of the Republic, Kais Saïed, met this Friday, July 15, 2022, with the Minister of Interior, Taoufik Charfeddine.
The meeting concentrated on the security situation in the country and the role of regional and local authorities. The President confirmed that the institutions of the State must respect neutrality and secure all the required conditions to permit people to express themselves on July 25 for the establishment of a new Republic.
The meeting was also a chance to review efforts to ensure safety during the holiday and tourist season. The President of the Republic welcomed, on this occasion, the role played by the internal security forces.
