President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, met this evening with the Minister of the Environment, Leila Chikhaoui.
He summoned the official to find a solution to the Sfax environmental crisis. He added that this situation is abnormal and that it conceals parts that desire to use it to stir up tensions.
Saïed said that Sfax has long been a region with a deteriorated environment and that we are attempting to add.
Saïed added that the independence of the regions does not mean that they rebel against the State, and the power of local authorities should not oppose the interests of citizens.
