President of the Republic, Kais Saied, welcomed this morning, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Carthage palace, Ahmed Fakak al-Badrani, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities of the Republic of Iraq.
This meeting provided a chance for the President of the Republic to reaffirm the pride of the Tunisian people in the strong bonds of brotherhood that unite them with the Iraqi people across various fields, including culture. He voiced a desire to strengthen ties and enhance bilateral cooperation, especially through the establishment of cultural centres in both Tunisia and Baghdad.
The head of the state also underscored, according to the press release from the presidency, the role of culture as an introduction to the construction of a free and enlightened thought in the face of deviations and all the manifestations of extremism, remarking that the Culture is a rampart for societies, an intellectual field and a bridge for rapprochement between peoples.
