The President of the Republic, Kais Saïed, returned, this Monday, January 25, 2021, to the removal of the Minister of the Interior, Taoufik Charfeddine.
“The prime minister has designated himself to act as interim minister of the interior. This is a first! No one has made such a thing before.”.
Speaking on the sidelines of the National Security Council, Saïed added that this procedure goes against the provisions of the Constitution. In the same context, he indicated that the Presidency of the Republic is not “a post office box”, assuring that this first shields the State and ensures its continuity.
