Tunisia – Salwa Abassi: We cannot speak about connected tablets when schools lack drinking water

Minister of Education, Salwa Abbasi, announced, in an interview with Wataniya, that she had visited more than 12 educational institutions in Greater Tunis, and outside, remarking that her agreement with the president of the Republic, Kais Saied, consisted of not talking about digitalization and digital tablets, and what she described as vague slogans, in light of a tough reality. The experience that students in interior areas face is characterised by hunger, thirst and several dangers they face while being transported to schools.

In another context, the Minister of Education Salwa Abbasi announced yesterday in a statement to the First National Channel that more precise and stricter measures would be taken concerning the management of the written test centres for the baccalaureate exam for the 2024 session.
