Tunisia-Samir Dilou calls on new ministers to step down

Reflecting on president Kais Saied’s rejection to issue the decrees designating new ministers and his refusal to enable them to be sworn in before him, Samir Dilou stated that to avoid the impasse it is essential that the 4 new ministers making the subject to suspected corruption or conflict of interest to step down voluntarily.

Prime Minister could substitute replace them with others and the President of the Republic would not relinquish his principles, he said, adding that escalation should at all costs be bypassed in this delicate period.

He further said that the crisis is not constitutional but political, calling on the three presidencies to locate common ground as soon as possible.
