In a press conference organized today, the vice-president of the dissolved Parliament Samira Chaouachi voiced reservations regarding the results of the July 25 referendum. “76% of voters rejected to participate in this initiative. The process is illegitimate and we adhere to the 2014 Constitution,” she said.
She added that the authorities as well as the ISIE and the administrative establishments have done everything for a participation rate of 27%. “We are the legitimate representatives of Tunisians,” Chaouachi said while addressing Tunisia’s partners, including the IMF.
