Tunisia-Saudi Arabia pledges support and aid to Tunisia

The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed received this morning of Sunday, August 22, 2021, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Kattan at Carthage presidential palace.
The President of the Republic reiterated his gratitude and thanks to the servant of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as well as to the Crown Prince Mohamed Ben Salman Ben Abdelaziz for all the support provided to Tunisia. He affirmed that the Tunisian people will never forget Saudi Arabia’s honourable stand and outpouring of solidarity in these delicate circumstances.
The President of the Republic revealed that the exceptional measures taken are aimed to protect the Tunisian state from collapse in the face of the unprecedented crisis and therefore put an end to choices that have expanded the misery and poverty of the people. In this context, he wished to evoke that there would be no turning back.
For his part, the Saudi minister conveyed greetings from the Saudi King and the Crown Prince, affirming that Saudi Arabia will proceed to support Tunisia and provide the required assistance to the Tunisian people in various fields.
At the end of this meeting, an enlarged meeting took place between Tunisian ministers and senior officials and members of the Saudi delegation devoted to examining means of collaboration between the two nations for the coming period.
