Strengthening military cooperation between Tunisia and Kuwait and exploring mechanisms to expand its scope were the focus of the meeting held this Tuesday morning at the Ministry’s headquarters between Minister of National Defense Khaled Sehili and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Tunisia Mansour Khaled Al-Omar.
On this occasion, the Minister of National Defense highlighted the deep historical relations and exemplary fraternal ties that unite the two sister countries, based on mutual respect and common interest. He also praised bilateral cooperation in the military field and the regular convening of the Tunisian-Kuwaiti Joint Military Commission. On this occasion, he called for exploring new horizons for military cooperation between the two parties, reflecting the strength of these relations through the implementation of the conclusions of the fourth session of the Tunisian-Kuwaiti Joint Military Commission, as well as the establishment of a permanent partnership in the fields of training and education, and the exchange of intelligence expertise and joint exercises. This will contribute to developing the operational capabilities of the military institutions of both countries and meeting the expectations of the two brotherly peoples.
For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the solid relations between the two countries and the development of military cooperation between them, emphasizing his country’s commitment to further advancing this cooperation and expanding its scope by intensifying joint work and bilateral coordination to advance it at the highest levels and achieve its desired objectives.
