The arrest warrant issued against Sonia Dahmani was executed a short time ago and, according to available data, a security unit affiliated with the Al-Gorjani Judicial Police Department entered the premises of “the lawyer’s house” at Bab Banat, in Tunis, and executed the summons issued yesterday by the investigating judge of the court of first instance of Tunis. She was taken to the judicial police headquarters while awaiting the investigating judge’s decision regarding her.
Note that attorney Sonia Dahmani took refuge at the headquarters of the lawyer’s office, in Bab Banat, after the decision of the first investigating judge of the Court of First Instance of Tunis to issue an arrest warrant against her on Friday morning May 10, 2024.
She did not appear before the judge on Friday following the summons sent to her on Thursday.
Several lawyers then appeared to represent her and requested the postponement of the hearing. Still, the investigating judge in charge of the investigation refused the delay of the interrogation, while issuing a summons to appear against her.
