The research and investigation units of the National Guard of Sousse succeed in arresting on August 12, 2021, a dangerous takfirist element, aged 39, who lurked in the region of Bir Chobbek, after attempting to kill a citizen of Sidi Bouzid known for his cooperation with the security units.
After intelligence and information gathering work, the residence where he was arrested was located and security agents found that he was the subject of two search warrants, the first for violation of an administrative control decision and the second for an attempted assassination, a security source told Tunisie Numerique.
Involved in the terrorist operation of Sidi Ali Ben Aoun, the latter was condemned to 10 years in prison, of which he served 5 years. After further inquiry, it was revealed that one of his relatives died in Jebel Chaanbi in 2014. The suspect was arrested, and after consulting with the prosecution, it ordered legal action against him and referred him to the source of the inspection.
