Tunisia-state of progress of the national reform program at the core of a ministerial council

Prime minister Nejla Bouden chaired a ministerial council devoted to monitoring the progress of the national reform program. The council concentrated on urgent actions relating to economic recovery, including supporting liquidity, easing access to financing, facilitating the procedures of the export and revitalising investment.

 

The ministerial team correspondingly observed the progress of energy policy governance and backed the development of an action plan to rescue STEG, launch projects to produce energy hydrogen and support the Industrial Land Agency by forming industrial zones that meet the necessities of investors.

The supply of markets with basic necessities, the control of distribution circuits, the strategic stock, the support of vulnerable categories, the launch of projects for the benefit of women and the start of national examinations were also cited. The ministers decided, on this occasion, to generalize preparatory classes in all educational institutions from next year. “The Ministerial Council monitored the setting up of waste sorting and recovery centres in all areas. It has consequently fixed a timetable for the entry into force of the adoption of digital identity which will make it possible to revoke the legalization of documents.

The meeting concentrated on the state of progress of the national program for the training of young people, the reform of land and maritime transport services, the entry into force of the program of early retirement, the reform of the health sector and the monitoring of the development of the Covid-19 pandemic.
