According to an article in the Ashourouk newspaper today, the student accused of trying to assassinate his teacher at Ibn Rachik High School in Ezzahra confessed he requested the teacher for permission to take the exam again. Nevertheless, the latter “humiliated” him in front of his friends by evoking his multiple absences and refusing to help him, which enraged him, he said.
The accused (aged 17) acknowledged that he had implemented a whole plan. He sneaked into the school building, then into the classroom and asked that the students leave immediately so that he could wreak his revenge. The Teenager said he was inspired by a foreign film to commit his crime, remarking that contrary to what some claim, he was not under the influence of drugs.
Expressing his deep regret over what occurred, the student said during interrogation that he perhaps should have talked about his school situation with members of his family because if he had done so. none of this would have befallen.
According to preliminary information, the student seemed disturbed and abused. These confessions indicate that he is a dangerous person, capable of planning a murder, particularly since he was known to be calm.
