The leaders and demonstrators of the Democratic Initiative (Ettakatol, Al Jomhouri and the Democratic Current) assembled today to celebrate Revolution Day and condemn the measures announced by the Head of State since July 25.
Protesters gathered at Rue de Paris and were stopped from progressing towards Avenue Habib Bourguiba, declaring their protest movement was surrounded by security forces. Among the protesters are several political figures including Ghazi Chaouachi, Khalil Zaouia, Mohamed Hamdi, Issam Chebbi and Zied Ghanney.
