In an interview with the Echaab newspaper, UGTT Secretary-General Noureddine Taboubi expressed that the President of the Republic Kais Saied has been frequently called upon to draw the outlines of the national dialogue and define the parties that will take part in this initiative. . He revealed that the UGTT has for the moment no idea on the content of the dialogue or the options which are proposed. “We called for a dialogue that takes into understanding the political and socio-economic plans to overcome the crisis confronting the country. We have also called for the formation of a commission of wise men whose mission will be to reconcile the points of view between the political parties. The UGTT will not take part in a dialogue without the participation of national organizations and political parties; that does not mean the participation of more than 200 parties,” he declared.
